I got lucky today when i spotted a butterfly idling in my garden. I rushed to pick up my camera and stepped as close as my lens could focus with very light feet, not to scare this marvelous creature. One fine day we, a group of fountain pen enthusiasts Vaibhav, Tervinder, Rakshit, Sulagno, Pradeep, Prithwijit, Kapil and myself  were engaged in discussions to design a pen. The design was going through numerous iterations and me and a fellow fountain pen lover Sulagno liked one of the design prototypes very much. We approached ASA pens with the design and asked for help to make the design a reality. ASA pens took up the task and also procured the last pieces of a vintage acrylic material to be used to create the pen. Thus the ASA royal was born.

Uploading for everyone's viewing, a collage of a custom made model from  ASA Pens . This pen is named ASA Royal by me. It is made of a special blue acrylic that was used in the late 80's and 90's when  fountain pens were still used for day to day writing needs. I would do a full fledged review of this gorgeous writing instrument soon.
