50 mm F1.8, The Magic Lens

What comes to our mind when thinking about professional photography ? Yes, the blurred backgrounds (shallow depth of field) with sharp subjects! And next thing that comes to our mind is how to get (achieve) it? The answer is a DSLR and a wide aperture lens. There are plenty of options in market for both DSLRs and Lenses with wide apertures, but today we are here to talk about the 50mm f1.8 prime lens .

And in 2012 I got myself a DLSR (Canon EOS 550D) in a hope to capture photographs as I saw in photography sites like Flickr & on Facebook photography pages. I could not hold the excitement when I held my DLSR in my hand and started clicking photographs as if I was a professional photographer. And wi

Photography: Butterfly Shot

I got lucky today when i spotted a butterfly idling in my garden. I rushed to pick up my camera and stepped as close as my lens could focus with very light feet, not to scare this marvelous creature. The result was a shot that i liked and thought of sharing with everyone. Click on the photograph for a high-res view

ASA Royal Custom Edition

Uploading for everyone's viewing, a collage of a custom made model from  ASA Pens . This pen is named ASA Royal by me. It is made of a special blue acrylic that was used in the late 80's and 90's when  fountain pens were still used for day to day writing needs. I would do a full fledged review of this gorgeous writing instrument soon.
